a personal welcome to you, from Cea
Cea R. White, MSW, LCSWA, LMBT, RYT-500
dear reader:
I am so thankful you’re here. I realize you’ve probably read that sentence thousands of times (particularly in your process of trying to find long-lasting relief, tools that actually work to calm your mind, or understanding the deeper reasons why certain struggles keep occurring), so at this point my gratitude may sound trite. I get it. Simultaneously, I don’t know of many other ways, at this point in our relationship, to convey how truly grateful I am that you are here — that you have not given up on yourself even in the midst of struggles, trauma, doubt (from yourself and others), or heartbreak. This is a really big deal. And I don’t take it lightly.
How else can I convey my gratitude for you being here? It may be helpful for you to know more about me, and why this work is so important for me to share.
I’ve struggled with and healed (!) acid reflux, IBS, nightly teeth-grinding, anxiety, and seemingly inexplicable sudden bursts of crying. I didn’t understand what was going on and tried to deny this reality — I couldn’t possibly struggle, right?! I’m supposed to be strong and keep pushing through and do it all on my own… right? Isn’t that what we all are supposed to do…?
Through deep self-study, rigorous trainings, and over a decade in the field, I’ve learned that this path is better walked with someone you trust and feel safe with – this is how we are designed to heal and thrive. I have learned how to honor your whole being, through my studies and practices in yoga, massage therapy and bodywork, psychology and social work, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, the rhythms of nature… and more!
I learned what it is like to truly connect — with myself and in relationships, in my heart, and with the universe. I became humbled by the wisdom of the body, its never-ending lessons, and the empowerment offered to each of us within our own bodies.
I would love to work with you in discovering and deepening what a genuine and healthy life is for you.
I am so thankful you are here.
With love and hopes to Cea soon,
Cea
